Dr. Abhay Junaghare is an infrastructure development professional with over a decade of experience working across urban and environmental sectors since 2011. Trained as a health professional and public policy expert, he brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective to infrastructure and sustainability challenges. His core areas of expertise include Water and Sanitation, Solid Waste Management, Sustainable Development, Climate Change, Public–Private Partnerships (PPP), and policy advocacy.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (B.H.M.S.) from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, and a Master of Science in Habitat Policy and Practice (MHPP) from the School of Habitat Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. He has further strengthened his global perspective through a Certificate in the Specialized Module on Cities and Climate Change offered by UNITAR, UN CC:Learn and UN-Habitat. He is currently pursuing his PhD at IIT Bombay.

Since 2011, Dr. Junaghare has worked with leading national and international institutions, including the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI), Nagpur; All India Institute of Local Self Government (AIILSG), Mumbai; CRISIL Infrastructure Advisory (a Standard & Poor’s company); Centre for Sustainable Environment and Development Initiatives (CSEDI), Navi Mumbai; and KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd. His work reflects a strong blend of technical expertise, policy insight, and implementation experience.
