A postgraduate in Sociology and recipient of the prestigious Cinema Century Award, he has conceived, written, directed, and produced over 200 hard-hitting documentary films, short films, and public service campaigns that powerfully address critical social issues. These works have consistently highlighted pressing concerns such as child rights, gender equality, public health, sanitation, education, governance, and sustainable livelihoods. As the founding Director of Aadhaar India International, Mumbai, Piyush Chakravarty has provided strategic communication leadership and creative direction for numerous high impact national and international programs. His expertise has shaped flagship initiatives for the Government of India, various State Governments, and renowned global agencies including UNICEF, USAID, The World Bank, Sav ite the Children, UNDP, WHO, DFID, GIZ, as well as a wide network of grassroots and civil-society organizations.
